Turkey's Ministry of Youth and Sports opens 2026-2027 KYK dormitory applications

The Ministry of Youth and Sports (GSB) has officially opened the 2026-2027 academic year dormitory applications for KYK student housing. Minister Osman Aşkın Bak announced that the application process is available for students newly enrolling in formal higher education programs as well as existing students who were enrolled before June 30, 2026.

Applications must be submitted digitally via the e-Devlet portal. The application window began on August 25, 2026, and will conclude on August 29, 2026, at 23:59. To ensure the accuracy of student declarations regarding social and economic status, the placement process will involve data coordination with 12 different public institutions, including YÖK, ÖSYM, and the Ministry of Family and Social Services.

Specific groups, such as horizontal/vertical transfer students, postgraduate students, and those applying for additional quotas, will have a separate application schedule announced at a later date. While the application period is active, official monthly dormitory fees for the new term have not yet been released, though they are expected to be finalized in early September.
