Turkey land investment surge makes up 40% of real‑estate sales
Demand for land and plots in Turkey has risen sharply, with arsa and arazi transactions now accounting for roughly 40 % of all real‑estate sales. Investors are targeting parcels along the growth corridors of major cities, especially where new metro lines, highways and other mega‑infrastructure projects are planned.
Experts warn that purchase decisions should be based on more than expectations of future price gains. Mustafa Özelmacıklı, chairman of Altın Emlak Global, said investors must assess location, infrastructure plans and conduct thorough legal checks – including title, zoning, utilities and any encumbrances – before committing to a purchase.
