Turkey's Terminal Istanbul project starts first phase at Atatürk Airport
Sanayi ve Teknoloji Bakanı Mehmet Fatih Kacır announced the launch of the initial phase of the Terminal Istanbul project at Istanbul's Atatürk Airport. The initiative is described as the first step toward creating one of the world’s largest entrepreneurship centres, intended to host thousands of entrepreneurs, technology firms and investors.
The hub will offer a 360‑degree support mechanism covering idea generation, product development, commercialization, investment and global market entry. Strategic international partnerships, most notably with the accelerator Techstars, and outreach with contacts in Pakistan, Qatar, Paris, London and the Turkish diaspora are planned to bring global knowledge, capital and expertise to Turkey. The Tech Visa programme will enable high‑potential foreign start‑ups to operate in the centre with soft‑landing services, grants and tax incentives. The project forms part of the “Milli Teknoloji Hamlesi” vision to transform Turkey into a global technology ecosystem hub.
