Turkey launches summer robotics academies in Kayseri and nationwide village school science program
The Kayseri Science Center, operating under the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality and in collaboration with TÜBİTAK, is hosting a series of summer academies titled “Design Your Robot and Code.” The programs run in three two‑week sessions between July and August 2026 and target primary‑school students (grades 3‑7), offering hands‑on robotics design, coding, engineering design thinking and teamwork workshops.
Separately, Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacır announced the TÜBİTAK Village Schools Support Program, the first nationwide effort to bring science and technology activities to rural schools. The initiative organizes events across Turkey where students, teachers and local villagers participate in scientific experiments and explorations, aiming to foster curiosity, discovery and a culture of innovation throughout the country.
