Turkey leads Russian autumn tour market with 50% share

Turkey remains the leading destination for Russian travelers during the autumn season, accounting for approximately 50% of all organized international tour sales for September and October. According to data from the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR), international tour sales for the upcoming autumn period have increased by an average of 4% compared to the same period last year, with some major operators seeing growth as high as 8%.

Egypt follows Turkey in popularity with a 17% market share. A significant shift in consumer preference is noted in the third position, where Vietnam has risen to 10% of sales, surpassing Thailand and the United Arab Emirates. This surge in interest for Vietnam is attributed to expanded flight programs to destinations such as Nha Trang and Phu Quoc.

Overall, the autumn season is projected to see a 7% year-on-year growth in sales. Currently, approximately 65% of the planned capacity for the September-October period has been sold, with September block seats seeing 80% occupancy and October at 50%.
