Turkey lifts Captain Black cigarette prices to 110 lira

The Turkey Tekel Bayileri Yardımlaşma Derneği (TBYD) announced a new price increase for the Captain Black cigarette range. Effective 4 August 2026, all Captain Black varieties – King Size‑G, Compact‑G, King Size Navy/Sky, Compact Navy/Sky and Slims Sky/Grey – will be sold at a uniform retail price of 110 lira, up from the 95‑100 lira range set after the June 8 hike.

The increase was posted by TBYD president Erol Dündar on social media. The move follows a broader wave of price adjustments in June, when other tobacco groups also raised rates: Imperial PM (110‑130 lira), BAT (105‑120 lira), JTI (105‑120 lira) and Imperial Tobacco (100‑120 lira).
