Turkey logs record road, bridge and airport traffic during Eid

During the 22‑31 May Eid holiday, Turkey's transport network handled unprecedented volumes. 29.3 million vehicles crossed highways and bridges, including a new daily record of 189,004 vehicles on the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge. Air traffic saw 51,962 flights transporting 7.617 million passengers, with Istanbul Airport reaching a daily peak of 1,730 flights on 31 May and moving 2.418 million passengers overall.

Rail services were also heavily used: the Marmaray carried 4.399 million riders, Başkentray 378,517, and all city‑wide rail systems served over 5.145 million passengers. High‑speed trains added another 321,230 travelers.
