Turkey Men's Volleyball Team faces elimination after loss to Romania

The Turkey Men's National Volleyball Team faces a decisive situation in the 2026 CEV European Championship Group D. Following a 3-0 victory against Switzerland, which provided their first win of the tournament, the team suffered a 3-1 defeat against host nation Romania.

In the match against Romania, the Turkish side lost the first two sets 25-19 and 25-21. Although they managed to win the third set 25-20, Romania secured the final set 25-18 to claim the victory. The Turkish squad was playing without opposite hitter Adis Lagumdzija due to injury.

With this result, Turkey's advancement to the Round of 16 now depends on their upcoming final group match against Latvia.
