Turkey Ministry of Environment updates building inspection regulations
The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change has amended the communique regarding the electronic assignment of building inspection companies. The new regulation reorganizes the operational zones for companies active in Antalya, Kocaeli, and Balıkesir.
In Kocaeli, the province is divided into two regions: the first includes Başiskele, Derince, Gölcük, İzmit, Kandıra, Karamürsel, and Kartepe, while the second includes Çayırova, Darıca, Dilovası, Gebze, and Körfez. Balıkesir is split into three regions, covering areas such as Ayvalık and Edremit in the first, Altıeylül and Karesi in the second, and Bandırma and Erdek in the third.
Antalya will implement a sub-region system within two main zones. The first zone is further divided into part A, including Kaş and Kemer, and part B, including Konyaaltı and Muratpaşa. The second zone covers Serik, Manavgat, and Alanya.
Under the new rules, building inspection companies can submit a petition to the Ministry if they do not wish to be assigned to areas outside their headquarters' location. The Ministry must resolve these applications within seven business days. The regulation will take effect one month after its publication.
