Turkey Ministry of Family and Social Services announces natural gas aid
The Ministry of Family and Social Services has announced the Natural Gas Consumption Support Program to assist low-income households with heating costs. The support is provided over an eight-month period from October to May, with payments distributed every two months.
Eligibility requires applicants to be Turkish citizens residing in districts with natural gas supply. Households must have a residential natural gas subscription, whether through a metered bill or a prepaid meter. The specific amount of monthly assistance varies based on regional climate conditions, ranging from 188 to 438 Turkish Liras.
Applications can be submitted via the e-Devlet ‘Social Assistance Application Service’ page. Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundations (SYDV) are responsible for evaluating the need of each household. Tenants are also eligible to apply, provided they correctly submit the natural gas subscription number for their residence. Payments are managed through the Family Card via Halkbank or through the e-Ailem system for bill payments.
