Turkey Ministry of Family and Social Services issues 2.2 billion lira in SED payments
Turkey’s Ministry of Family and Social Services has completed the October payments for the Social and Economic Support (SED) program. Minister Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş announced that a total of 2 billion 233 million lira has been deposited into the accounts of eligible recipients.
The SED program is designed to assist families with their children’s educational and social development expenses. The primary goal of the initiative is to provide economic relief to families, allowing children to remain within their family environments and social circles rather than being separated from them due to financial hardship.
Minister Göktaş emphasized that the ministry prioritizes family-oriented social assistance to ensure children grow up in a warm and supportive domestic setting, which she noted is essential for preserving social values and fostering healthy, educated, and self-confident individuals.
