Turkey Ministry of National Education updates school social clubs

The Turkish Ministry of National Education (MEB) has initiated the process of restructuring social clubs in schools to better support student development. This new phase involves the digital integration of student preferences and club assignments through the e-Okul Social Activities Module.

As part of a comprehensive revision to the Social Activities Regulation for Educational Institutions, the ministry is introducing modern themes to the curriculum. New club categories will focus on contemporary global and technological issues, including artificial intelligence, software and coding, environmental awareness, and the climate crisis.

School administrations are currently finalizing club definitions, assigning advisor teachers, and managing student placements based on individual talents and interests. The goal is to integrate personal development with academic education through a wide range of activities spanning arts, sports, culture, and science.
