Turkey monitors development of over 206,000 children under Autism Action Plan

Under the coordination of the Ministry of Family and Social Services, the Second National Autism Action Plan (2023–2025) has monitored the development of 206,746 children and implemented individual intervention programs.

The initiative aims to increase access to early diagnosis and intervention services, support families, and strengthen social awareness. As part of these efforts, the Disease Management Platform (HYP) module of the Digital Monitoring and Screening Program was launched on September 15, 2025, to systematize case tracking by family physicians.

Services have been provided through Multidisciplinary Service Models and Child and Youth Mental Health Centers (ÇÖZGEM) in 14 provinces, as well as 876 public mental health clinics. Additionally, multidisciplinary training programs have been conducted to enhance the skills of health personnel in areas such as behavior analysis, nutrition, and emergency medical intervention. Pilot individual service counseling programs have also provided support to 503 people to facilitate access to psychosocial support and social assistance.
