Turkey moving sector sees price surges up to 250,000 TL

The moving and logistics sector in Turkey is experiencing significant activity and price increases, driven by urban transformation projects, the start of the school season, and personnel transfers. Industry representatives report a 60-70 percent increase in moving costs compared to the same period last year.

According to Erdoğan Bağlar, President of the Home-to-Home Movers Association, daily moving volumes range between 4,500 and 5,000. High demand is particularly noted in districts such as Bağcılar, Zeytinburnu, Avcılar, Kartal, Kadıköy, and Üsküdar.

Moving costs vary based on distance, volume of goods, and services like packaging or assembly. For instance, moving a 1+1 apartment starts at 13,500 TL, while 4+1 or larger homes can reach up to 250,000 TL. Additionally, consumer complaints have risen regarding companies that arbitrarily increase agreed-upon prices during the actual moving process.
