TFF denies claims of tension between Sergen Yalçın and national players

The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has officially denied allegations that national football players are refusing to communicate with the new national team head coach, Sergen Yalçın. The claims, initially circulated by journalist Sercan Hamzaoğlu, suggested that several players were avoiding Yalçın's calls due to harsh criticisms he made about them during his time as a media commentator.

The TFF described these reports as ‘imaginary and malicious speculation’ that aims to undermine the unity of the national team. The federation stated that all national players are satisfied with their interactions and exchanges of ideas with Yalçın and his technical staff.

Despite the TFF's denial, journalist Hamzaoğlu maintained his stance, claiming to have personally witnessed the situation. Meanwhile, coach Servet Çetin expressed his support for Yalçın, noting that his relaxed demeanor could positively influence the players and emphasizing the importance of supporting a domestic coach.
