June 2026 electricity outages hit Turkey and Northern Cyprus

Turkey is scheduling a series of planned electricity interruptions in June 2026 for network maintenance. In Aydın province, outages are set for 13 June, early morning, affecting several districts as crews replace and upgrade lines. Nevşehir province will see cuts on 14 June in Acıgöl, Gülşehir and Hacıbektaş, with outages lasting from 09:00 to 14:00 to allow repairs in industrial zones and a village. In the Black Sea region, Trabzon’s Ortahisar and Akçaabat neighborhoods will lose power on 14 June for four‑hour blocks between 01:00 and 13:30 as grid upgrades are carried out. Ankara’s capital district will experience staggered outages from 13 to 17 June across many neighborhoods in Akyurt, Çankaya, Etimesgut, Keçiören, Sincan, Yenimahalle, Yenimahalle, Beypazarı and others, tied to extensive feeder‑line work. Meanwhile, Northern Cyprus’s capital, Lefkoşa, will undergo a short‑duration outage on 14 June from 04:00 to 06:00 while a new transformer is commissioned, affecting industrial, governmental and residential areas.
