Turkey schedules widespread electricity outages across multiple provinces in July 2026

Turkey's electricity distribution companies announced a series of planned power interruptions for July 12‑14, 2026. OEDAŞ will cut power in several districts of Eskişehir, while BEDAŞ and AYEDAŞ plan outages in 14 Istanbul districts on July 12. ADM will suspend service in six Aydın districts on July 12, and Gediz Elektrik will affect 20 İzmir districts on July 14. In the Black Sea region, Trabzon’s Araklı, Ortahisar, Düzköy, Akçaabat, Çaykara, Maçka and Of districts face hour‑long cuts on July 13. Zonguldak’s Karapınar village and surrounding neighborhoods also reported loss of electricity to a communication tower, leaving residents without mobile service.

The interruptions are tied to network maintenance, grid upgrades and investment works and are expected to last from a few hours up to seven hours, depending on the area. Authorities have advised residents to take precautionary measures, protect electronic devices and be prepared for limited electricity availability during the scheduled periods.
