Turkey Police Capture Fugitive Sentenced to 132 Years for Child Abuse

A fugitive convicted of "On İki Yaşını Tamamlamamış Çocuğun Cinsel İstismarı" (sexual abuse of a child under twelve) and sentenced to 132 years in prison was arrested in the town of Sarıkamış, Kars Province. The operation was carried out by the Kars Provincial Police’s Public Order Department after extensive technical and physical tracking identified the suspect, identified only as S. B., at his hide‑out. Police executed a simultaneous raid, detained the suspect, conducted a health check, and transferred him to the police headquarters for further legal processing. The authorities confirmed that the case will be forwarded to the judiciary for imprisonment. The Kars police chief reiterated the department’s commitment to continuous operations against individuals who threaten public safety.
