Turkey polls show varying support for ‘Terörsüz Türkiye’ process

Recent public opinion polls in Turkey indicate varying levels of support for the ‘Terörsüz Türkiye’ (Terror-free Turkey) process among different political demographics and leaders.

A GENAR survey found that 61.6% of the general public supports the process. Support is highest among voters of the DEM Party (90.5%), AK Party (85.5%), and MHP (80.7%). Conversely, support is lower among CHP voters (47.4%), Yeni Parti voters (40.9%), and İYİ Party voters (15.0%). Regarding the 12-item framework law currently in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, support among İYİ Party voters was recorded at 15%.

An August study by Özdemir Araştırma assessed the perceived success of political leaders regarding their stances on the process. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan received the highest rating for being ‘successful or very successful’ at 40.6%. Devlet Bahçeli followed with 29.8%, while Özgür Özel ranked third with 22.2%. The study also noted significant dissatisfaction, with 54.7% of respondents rating Bahçeli’s stance as ‘very unsuccessful or unsuccessful’ and 53.8% rating Özel’s stance similarly.
