Turkey probation services renovate schools through community work

Probationary service participants in Turkey have undertaken various maintenance and renovation projects in schools as part of their community service obligations.

In Niğde, coordinated by the Niğde Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, individuals performing unpaid work for the public interest renovated four schools. The work included painting and repairing 46 classrooms, 12 corridors, 16 stairwells, and a metal workshop to prepare them for the upcoming academic year. Niğde Chief Public Prosecutor Aydın Tuncay inspected the sites, emphasizing the importance of inter-institutional cooperation.

Similarly, in Zonguldak, participants under the supervision of the Zonguldak Probation Directorate carried out maintenance and painting activities at the Karaman Amele Birliği Primary/Middle School. Zonguldak Governor Osman Hacıbektaşoğlu inspected the progress. These initiatives aim to improve educational environments while supporting the social reintegration and rehabilitation of those under probation by fostering a sense of responsibility and social cohesion.
