Turkey provides aid to 85 countries on five continents

Turkey, through its Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) and the Turkish Red Crescent, has delivered humanitarian assistance to 85 nations across five continents. The aid includes food, shelter, health supplies, cash, logistics support and search‑and‑rescue equipment.

The largest operation was for Gaza, where 14 aircraft and 21 ships carried 109,332 tonnes of relief items, backed by a $7.5 million donation ($7 million from AFAD, $0.5 million from the Red Crescent). Other major deliveries included 11,739 tonnes to Afghanistan via 25 "Goodness Trains" and six flights, 10,206 tonnes and 30,000 tents to Sudan by six ships, and sizable shipments to Pakistan (9,079 t), Somalia (3,000 t), Lebanon (730 t), Bangladesh (64,992 packages), Bosnia‑Herzegovina (60 containers), Syria (13,938 t), Zambia, Congo and Burundi (cash and food packages), and Venezuela (30 t via two cargo planes after the June earthquakes). In Spain, assistance after floods comprised 250 plastic containers and two cleaning vehicles.
