Turkey raises paid military service fee to 472,653 lira

The Turkish Treasury and Finance Ministry announced that the fee for paid military service (bedelli askerlik) will rise to 472,653 Turkish lira for applications in the second half of 2026, up from 416,361 lira. The increase follows the latest rise in the civil‑service salary coefficient, which is adjusted every six months.

A related decree also set new civil‑servant salary coefficients (monthly coefficient 1.575512, base 25.794915, extra 0.499649) and raised the ceiling for severance pay to 73,729 lira. Contract staff wages were increased by 13.52%, with new maximum levels for various categories. The changes affect millions of public employees, retirees, and citizens eligible for paid service.
