Turkey ranks 23rd in global ultra‑wealth report as ultra‑rich count hits 4,208
Knight Frank's 2026 Wealth Report reveals a total of 713,626 ultra‑high‑net‑worth individuals (UHNWI) worldwide, each holding at least $30 million. The study estimates that an average of 89 people cross the $30 million threshold each day.
The United States leads with 251,352 UHNWI, followed by China with 121,677 and Germany with 38,215. Turkey appears in 23rd place, with 4,208 UHNWI in 2026 – a 93.6 % rise from 2,174 in 2021. Projections suggest the Turkish ultra‑rich population could reach 4,772 by 2031. Analysts estimate the total wealth of Turkey's ultra‑rich at roughly $350‑$400 billion, based on a minimum‑threshold calculation that puts it above $160 billion.
The report also notes 35 Turkish billionaires, providing a baseline billionaire wealth of $35 billion. Growth among Turkey's ultra‑wealthy is driven by investments in technology, finance, industry and alternative assets such as luxury real estate and private‑equity funds.
