Turkey redeploys Commando Brigade to Aegean coast near Samos
Turkey has redeployed its 51st Commando Brigade from Hozat in Tunceli province to the Söke garrison in Aydın province. This move places approximately 2,000 specialized troops on the Turkish coast directly opposite the Greek island of Samos.
The redeployment follows the August appointment of Brigadier General Yaşar Karaoğlu as the unit's commander.
