Turkey rental prices rise 1.9% in July 2026
According to the New Tenant Rent Index released by the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye for July 2026, rental prices across Turkey increased by 1.9% compared to the previous month. The annual nominal change stood at 28.4%, while the inflation-adjusted real change showed a decrease of 2.6%. The index reached a level of 328.5 in July.
In Istanbul, rental prices rose by 32.4% annually, with a monthly increase of 1.7%, placing its growth approximately 4 percentage points above the national average. Ankara saw a monthly increase of 2.2% and an annual rise of 28.6%. In contrast, Izmir experienced a monthly decline of 1.8%, although its annual rental price increase remained at 26.3%, which is 2.1 percentage points below the national average.
