Turkey road maintenance causing widespread traffic closures

Various road maintenance and repair works are causing traffic disruptions across several routes in Turkey.

On the TEM Motorway, the Orhanlı Junction exits towards both Ankara and Istanbul will be closed between 22:00 and 06:00 for superstructure repairs. Drivers are advised to use alternative routes via Kurtköy and Şekerpınar. Other significant closures include segments of the Aydın-Denizli Motorway, the Aksaray-Nevşehir road, and the Ankara-Kırıkkale road.

Additionally, controlled traffic is being implemented on the Göksun-Elbistan, Samsun-Çarşamba-Terme, Kayseri-Kırşehir, Elazığ-Malatya, and İznik-Mekece roads due to ongoing construction.

In Eskişehir, the Han district is undergoing infrastructure strengthening. Work on the Han Peripheral Road and the Han-Başara Connection Road is scheduled to last until August 18. These works include ground improvement and asphalt paving. While partial traffic will remain, drivers are encouraged to use alternative routes, though emergency vehicle access will be maintained.
