Turkey schedules planned power outages in Van and Uşak provinces
On 25 June 2026, the electricity distributor VEDAŞ will carry out maintenance work that will cause planned outages in six districts of Van Province – Erciş, Muradiye, Özalp, Gürpınar, Edremit and İpekyolu – affecting dozens of neighbourhoods and streets. Power is expected to be restored once the work is completed.
A similar schedule was announced for 24 June 2026 in Uşak Province, where Osmangazi Electricity Distribution Co. (OEDAŞ) will suspend supply in several central and rural neighbourhoods for network repairs and upgrades. Early completion of the work could allow an earlier restoration of electricity.
Both utilities have warned residents that the outages are temporary and will be limited to the specified hours, with no additional impact beyond the affected areas.
