Turkey schedules water outages in Trabzon's Sürmene and Bursa's Orhangazi districts

On 9 June 2026, the municipality of Sürmene in Trabzon Province will carry out planned water works that will cut supply from 09:00 to 17:00 in the neighbourhoods of Armutlu, Birlik, Fındıcak, Küçükdere and Yeşilköy. Officials warned residents to store water for daily needs and said the outage could be shortened if work finishes early.

A day later, on 10 June 2026, Bursa’s Orhangazi district will face a 24‑hour water interruption beginning at 00:01 as BUSKİ upgrades its main drinking‑water pipeline. The cut will affect the Arapzade and Muradiye neighbourhoods, with water expected to return by 24:00 the same night. The works aim to modernise ageing infrastructure and prevent larger unplanned failures.

Both municipalities have advised citizens to keep sufficient water reserves and follow safety instructions during the interruptions.
