Turkey security conference calls for Eurasian alliance to counter NATO

A conference organized by the DÜNYA-MER research centre was held in Ankara, bringing together officials, politicians, generals and experts from 19 countries. Participants included Chinese Communist Party Deputy Minister for International Relations Jin Xin, Vatan Party leader Doğu Perinçek and the event was chaired by Prof. Dr. Semih Koray. The gathering, titled “Big War Prevention Alliance”, presented itself as a counterpart to the NATO summit, declaring an end to hegemony and proposing a new Eurasian security bloc. A final declaration is scheduled for release the following day.

The conference follows a previous DÜNYA-MER event in Istanbul that attracted nine nations and focused on security and NATO issues, aiming to shape Turkey’s strategic posture amid regional tensions.
