Turkey security sources deny Abdullah Öcalan sub-commission claims

Security sources in Turkey have denied social media claims suggesting that Abdullah Öcalan will participate in sub-commissions established as part of the ongoing peace and resolution process. Officials stated that documents, minutes, and names circulating online regarding alleged meetings at İmralı are false and constitute disinformation intended to sabotage the National Solidarity and Social Integration process.

Separately, reports indicate that a Monitoring and Evaluation Board held its first meeting at Beştepe, chaired by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, with several cabinet ministers and intelligence officials in attendance. The meeting resulted in the formation of four sub-commissions: Judicial and Legal Affairs Coordination, Monitoring and Detection, Social Adaptation and Integration, and Disarmament and Strategic Coordination. While some sources suggest Öcalan may be involved in the Disarmament and Strategic Coordination sub-commission, these claims have been met with denials from security authorities.
