Borsa Istanbul sees record IPO activity in 2026 with 22 listings raising 42 bn lira
In the first half of 2026, Borsa Istanbul listed 16 companies, bringing the total number of IPOs for the year to 22 and raising more than 42 billion Turkish lira in capital. The offerings spanned a wide price range – from a low of 4 TL for Savur GYO to a high of 80 TL for Metropal Corporate Services – and were divided between the primary "Ana Pazar" (13 firms) and the premium "Yıldız Pazar" (3 firms). Notable early‑stage performances included Orzaks İlaç and Golda Gıda, which posted gains of roughly 30 % and 33 % respectively, while Soho Giyim and Ekim Turizm saw double‑digit declines.
The pace slowed in the second quarter, with only two new listings, but the Capital Markets Board (SPK) subsequently approved seven additional IPOs for the second half of the year, covering sectors such as pharmaceuticals, tourism, apparel, ceramics and energy. Investor demand remained strong, with almost 18 million participants across the offerings, highlighting growing interest in the Turkish capital market.
Overall, the surge in listings and the breadth of sectors involved underscore a deepening market, while the significant capital inflow is expected to support corporate expansion and production capacity across the economy.
