Turkey sets July 2026 public salary difference payments and private sector wage hike

Millions of Turkish civil servants and pensioners are awaiting the July 2026 salary‑difference payments that cover the 1‑14 July period after the June inflation data confirmed a 13.52% raise. Authorities have not yet published a precise calendar, but past practice suggests the payments will be credited gradually in the last week of July.

At the same time, a collective bargaining agreement between the Petrol‑İş Union and plastic‑packaging firm ALPLA raised the lowest gross monthly wage for workers in its Kocaeli, Gebze, Ankara and Adana plants to 153,000 TL, a 27% increase. The deal, which does not cover ALPLA’s Konya facility, also adds enhanced social and other benefits, bringing the average net pay for employees at those sites to about 94,000 TL.
