Turkey shines at youth volleyball and pentathlon championships

At the 2026 Women’s U16 Balkan Volleyball Championship in Grevena, Greece, the host nation and Turkey remained unbeaten after the tournament’s second day. Greece defeated Serbia 3‑2 to stay on track for a gold‑medal showdown, while Turkey swept Montenegro 3‑0, securing a strong position ahead of the final round.

In Kaunas, Lithuania, Turkey’s U17 women’s pentathlon relay team captured gold at the UIPM World Championships, finishing 20 seconds ahead of Egypt. The duo of Tuana Ozgur and Tulya Kesebir led the race, with Britain and Egypt taking silver and bronze respectively after close competition in the obstacle and laser‑run segments.
