Turkey social assistance payments and rates updated for late 2026

The Ministry of Family and Social Services has updated the amounts and conditions for various social assistance programs in Turkey for the second half of 2026. These supports include birth assistance, home care allowances, social and economic support (SED), and elderly pensions.

Key updates include: - Home Care Allowance: Monthly payments have increased to 15,775 TL for individuals requiring care as determined by health reports, provided the household income per person is below two-thirds of the net minimum wage. - Birth Assistance: For children born after January 1, 2025, a one-time payment of 5,000 TL is provided for the first child. Subsequent children receive monthly payments: 1,500 TL for the second child until age five, and 5,000 TL for the third and following children. - SED Support: Average monthly payments for families at risk of losing children due to economic hardship have risen to 11,038 TL. - Elderly Pensions: Monthly payments for citizens over 65 without social security and meeting income requirements are 7,257 TL.

Regarding the September 2026 home care payments, official disbursements are scheduled for the 15th of each month. As of September 11, 2026, no official announcement has been made confirming that the September payments have been deposited into accounts across the 81 provinces. Citizens are advised to verify their specific payment status via the e-Devlet portal.
