Turkey to implement extensive planned electricity outages on June 11

On 11 June, the electricity distribution companies BEDAŞ and OEDAŞ will carry out scheduled maintenance that will interrupt power supply in several Turkish localities. In Istanbul’s European side, BEDAŞ plans cuts across 19 districts, including Arnavutköy, Avcılar, Bağcılar, Beşiktaş, Beylikdüzü, Büyükçekmece and others. Most outages will run from 09:00 to 18:00, while Esenler will see an overnight interruption from 00:30 to 06:30.

In the central Anatolian province of Eskişehir, OEDAŞ will suspend electricity in multiple districts such as Odunpazarı, Tepebaşı, Günyüzü, Seyitgazi, Alpu and Çifteler. The shutdowns are scheduled between 09:30 and 17:00, with specific time windows for each neighbourhood, and are attributed to routine maintenance and investment works on the grid.
