Turkey announces July salary and pension increase schedule for civil servants and retirees
The Turkish government has confirmed the July 2026 salary and pension adjustments. Civil servants and their retirees will receive a 13.52% increase, while SSK and Bağ‑Kur retirees will see a 17.76% rise.
SSK retirees’ payments will be deposited according to allocation‑number suffixes between 17 July and 26 July. Bağ‑Kur retirees will be paid from 25 July to 28 July following a similar suffix‑based schedule. Civil servants will receive their regular July salary on 15 July and an additional 14‑day wage difference for the period 1‑14 July, expected to be credited within a week.
Examples of the increase include a memur retiree earning TL 30,000 receiving about TL 4,560 extra, a TL 40,000 earner about TL 5,480, and lower‑paid retirees around TL 3,755. Teachers, engineers, police and other categories also see specific raise amounts, with teachers’ salaries moving above TL 83,000.
