Turkey to recruit 30,000 school staff via TYP
Turkey is launching a large-scale recruitment drive through the Community Benefit Program (TYP) to staff schools ahead of the 2026-2027 academic year. A total of 30,000 personnel, including cleaning and garden staff, will be employed across 81 provinces to enhance school security, hygiene, and maintenance.
Major cities are receiving significant quotas, with Istanbul allocated 3,013 positions, Ankara 1,628, and Izmir 1,242. Other notable allocations include Van with 812 positions and Trabzon with 315 garden staff. The program aims to provide temporary employment while addressing the immediate needs of educational institutions.
Applications are being processed through İŞKUR and e-Devlet. Candidates must meet specific criteria, such as being at least 18 years old, being registered with İŞKUR, and meeting household income requirements. Selection for many of these roles will be conducted via a notary-supervised lottery system.
