Turkey tourism insurance premium support urged to cover all accommodation businesses

Antalya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ATSO) President Yusuf Hacısüleyman welcomed the new insurance‑premium subsidy for tourism accommodation introduced by the 2026 law amendment, calling it a positive step but insisting that its scope be broadened. He argued that the support should apply to every lodging operator certified by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, not only those holding a Tourism Enterprise Certificate, to protect registered employment and ensure equal competition. “OLUMLU BİR ADIM, ANCAK KAPSAMI GENİŞLETİLMELİ,” he said.

Similarly, Mustafa Ertaş, candidate for president of the Nevşehir Chamber of Commerce and Industry, echoed the call for a more inclusive scheme. He stressed that extending the subsidy to all certified accommodation facilities would reduce labour costs, safeguard jobs, and strengthen the competitiveness of the Kapadokya tourism region, which is vital for the local and national economy.
