Turkey Treasury raises 13.4 bn lira in two bond auctions

The Treasury and Finance Ministry conducted two domestic bond auctions, issuing a 2‑year state bond with a 6‑monthly fixed coupon of 18.40 % and a 4‑year bond indexed to inflation (CPI) with a 6‑monthly real coupon of 2.63 %.

The 2‑year auction attracted a nominal offer of 14.8 bn lira, resulting in a net sale of 9.82 bn lira; the compound interest on this issue was 41.80 %. The 4‑year CPI‑linked auction received a nominal offer of 5.13 bn lira, with a net sale of 3.61 bn lira and a compound interest of 5.48 %. Combined, the two auctions provided a net borrowing of about 13.4 bn lira for the Treasury.
