Turkey university registration and dormitory application updates

The registration schedule for the 2026-2027 academic year in Turkish universities has been established. According to the Higher Education Board (YÖK) and the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM), electronic registrations via e-Devlet will take place between August 24 and August 26, 2026. For students preferring in-person registration, the period is set from August 24 to August 28, 2026.

University start dates vary by institution, as each university senate determines its own academic calendar. Most institutions are expected to begin fall semester classes in the last week of September or the first week of October 2026.

Regarding student housing, the Ministry of Youth and Sports (GSB) has not yet announced the official application dates for 2026-2027 KYK dormitory placements. Students are advised to monitor official announcements from the Ministry and the General Directorate of Credits and Dormitories for updates on the application process, which is expected to be conducted through e-Devlet.
