Turkey updates notary and concordat fee schedules

The Turkish Ministry of Justice has published new fee schedules in the Official Gazette regarding notary services and concordat application expenses.

For notary services, new regulations define travel allowances for duties performed outside of notary offices. A daily travel allowance of 319.60 TL will be applied for standard external tasks, while duties involving lotteries, elections, or meetings will incur a daily allowance of 2,928.05 TL. Additionally, a 750 TL cap has been set for travel expenses related to the physical delivery of judicial documents.

Regarding concordat applications, a new expense advance tariff has been implemented. Applicants must now deposit specific amounts into the court treasury to cover costs such as notifications, postage, expert witness fees, and announcement fees. Key updates include a minimum of 2,600 TL for announcements in the Turkish Trade Registry Gazette and a 68,900 TL bankruptcy expense for debtors subject to bankruptcy. Concordat commissioners will have their fees calculated based on a minimum monthly rate of 3,380 TL, covering a five-month temporary period.
