Turkey utility services face widespread planned outages

Multiple regions across Turkey are facing scheduled utility disruptions due to maintenance, network improvements, and infrastructure investments.

Extensive planned electricity outages are scheduled for several provinces, including Mardin, Gaziantep, Adana, Van, Eskişehir, Trabzon, Bursa, and İzmir. These works involve transformer maintenance, cable connections, and grid capacity increases. In Bursa, outages are expected to affect 16 out of 17 districts, with some lasting up to eight hours. In İzmir, GDZ Elektrik has announced disruptions across 15 districts for network renewal and tree trimming.

Water supply interruptions have also been announced. In Balıkesir, the Balıkesir Water and Sewerage Administration (BASKİ) reported outages in Ayvalık and Altıeylül due to main network failures. Similarly, İZSU has scheduled water cuts in several İzmir districts, including Bayraklı, Dikili, Foça, Konak, and Tire, with some disruptions lasting up to 11 hours.
