Turkey warns of radical measures over stalled Gaza agreement

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has warned that Turkey, alongside Qatar and Egypt, may take ‘radical steps’ regarding the stalled Gaza transition agreement if the United States fails to pressure Israel into compliance.

Fidan stated that Palestinian factions have fulfilled their obligations for the second phase of the agreement, but accused Israel of intentionally delaying the process. He expressed concern that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is leading the country toward international isolation and suggested that Israel's ultimate goal is the total expulsion of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip.

To counter these developments, Turkey is partnering with Egypt and other nations to form a ‘Peace Council’ focused on diplomacy and deterrence. Fidan noted that while the diplomatic bloc has succeeded in partially preventing genocide and total depopulation, a change in strategic approach by regional mediators may be necessary if Washington does not intervene to break the current deadlock.
