Turkey watch market projected to reach $1.5 billion in 2025
The Turkish watch market is projected to reach a volume of approximately $1.5 billion in 2025, with annual sales estimated at around 8 million units. According to data from the All Watch Businessmen Association (TÜSAD), the market grew from $1.37 billion in 2023, and industry experts forecast it will reach $2.35 billion by 2028.
Watch imports in Turkey rose by 14.7% in 2025 to $525.4 million, with expectations that this figure will approach $600 million by the end of 2026. Switzerland remains a dominant player in the sector, accounting for 71.3% of the total import value, despite representing only 6.8% of the total quantity of units imported. Other major suppliers include China, Japan, and Germany.
Ahmet Aydın, Chairman of the Board of TÜSAD, noted that Turkey possesses a highly dynamic market driven by interest from both men and women, as well as significant demand for watches as gifts. While consumer interest in brand storytelling, vintage watches, and micro-brands is rising, Aydın highlighted that domestic production in Turkey remains minimal compared to specialized manufacturing hubs like Switzerland and Japan.
