Turkey’s Foreign Ministry announced its satisfaction with the confidence vote that installed Ali Zeydi as Iraq’s new prime minister. The statement said, "We welcome the new government led by Ali Zeydi receiving the confidence vote and wish Prime Minister Zeydi success in this critical task," and added, "Turkey will continue to give the necessary support to Iraq’s efforts toward stability, prosperity and regional integration."

The Iraqi parliament approved a 14‑member cabinet, with ministers for petroleum, industry, electricity, education and several other portfolios taking the oath. Other ministries remain pending due to objections, with further appointments expected after the holiday period.
