The Turkish Land Forces secured first place in the inaugural International Best Military Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (Drone) Team Competition (BIMDTC-2026) held in Ankara. The winning Turkish team completed a 23-obstacle course in 41.417 seconds, significantly outperforming other competitors.

Pakistan finished in second place with a time of 50.253 seconds, while Italy took third place with 50.680 seconds. France followed in fourth place. The event, hosted by the Turkish Land Forces at the Şehit Kara Pilot Üsteğmen Gürcan Ulucan Square in Temelli, featured 22 teams from 18 participating countries and 14 observer nations.

The competition aimed to foster international military cooperation, encourage the sharing of expertise, and showcase drone and anti-drone systems developed by the Turkish defense industry. High-ranking officials attended the event, including Turkish Chief of General Staff General Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu and various international military representatives from countries such as Sudan and Somalia.

During the event, DASAL Aviation Technologies demonstrated advanced autonomous capabilities, including swarm algorithms and the ‘Angel Mode’ concept, which uses a swarm of five UAVs to provide 360-degree situational awareness and protection for field commanders.
