Turkey Women's Football Team prepares for World Cup qualifier against Slovenia

The Turkey Women's National Football Team is preparing to host Slovenia in the first leg of the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup European Qualifiers play-off. The match will take place at Pendik Stadium.

During a press conference held at the stadium, head coach Necla Güngör Kıragası expressed confidence in her players, stating that their primary motivation is to achieve success and pave the way for young girls. Kıragası noted that while Slovenia is a strong opponent that utilizes high-pressure tactics, the team plans to use tactical variations to exploit space behind the Slovenian defense.

Team captains Selda Akgöz and Ebru Topçu also participated in the briefing. Kıragası emphasized the importance of playing the first match at home, noting that the team's undefeated record at Pendik Stadium provides a significant psychological advantage heading into the away leg.
