Turkey women's volleyball team clinches VNL final spot

The Turkey women's national volleyball team (Fileni Sultanları) defeated host Japan 3–1 in the third‑week match of the 2026 FIVB Volleyball Nations League (VNL) at Osaka’s Asue Arena on 11 July 2026. The victory gave Turkey 22 points, their eighth win of the tournament, and secured a place in the VNL finals to be held in Macau, China from 22 – 26 July 2026. The win also marked the team’s eighth consecutive appearance in the finals. Turkey’s next scheduled match is against Thailand on 12 July 2026.

The triumph was broadcast live on TRT Spor and other platforms, and the team’s performance was highlighted by strong play from key athletes such as Melissa Vargas and Zehra Güneş.
