Turkey women's volleyball team wins second FIVB Nations League title
The Turkey women’s national volleyball team defeated Brazil 3–1 in the final of the 2026 FIVB Nations League, securing the country’s second championship in the competition after their first win in 2023. The victory was celebrated by Vodafone Turkey CEO Engin Aksoy, who praised the team’s perseverance and highlighted Vodafone’s three‑year support of the squad.
Malatya Metropolitan Mayor Sami Er also issued a congratulatory message, noting the historic significance of the win for Turkish sport and commending standout player Melissa Varga, who scored 33 points and was named MVP. The team’s next focus is the 2026 CEV Women’s European Championship, to be co‑hosted by Turkey, the Czech Republic, Azerbaijan and Sweden.
