Turkey Writers' Union Organizes Erzincan Branch Conference and Konya Photo Exhibition

The Turkey Writers' Union (TYB) held its 18th Branch Meeting in Erzincan on 24 July 2025. Honorary President Prof. Dr. Musa Kazım Arıcan, General President Prof. Dr. Muhammet Enes Kala, board members and branch heads from across the country attended, honoring founding honorary president D. Mehmet Doğan and outlining strategic projects for TYB’s second 50‑year milestone, including language preservation, university collaborations and commemorative events.

Separately, the TYB Konya Branch staged the program “A Day with Photography in Konya” at the D. Mehmet Doğan Library, supported by Karatay Municipality. The event featured a photo exhibition titled “Ancient City’s Ancient Professions,” showcasing fading traditional trades, a talk by photographer Reha Bilir on the nature of art and AI’s impact on photography, and additional photo presentations by local artists, concluding with certificates and plaques for participants.
